Some projects are born out of pure passion.

Jack White’s explosive album Lazaretto and its iconic music video were the perfect inspiration for a unique visual experiment.

As a tribute to Jack White and Third Man Records, I turned the music video into a box set of 11 zoetrope slipmats.
Each slipmat contained a frame from the music video, and together they formed a zoetrope version of the video when played on a turntable and filmed with a low-resolution shutter speed camera. The images came to life, revealing the energy and dynamics of Lazaretto in a completely new way.

This project was not a commercial release, but a pure fan art passion project. Although I shared the video online at the time, I have never publicly displayed the individual designs of the slipmats.
The set is not for sale, but I still want to share them as a tribute to an artist and label that have inspired me for years.
