When House of Marley asked me to design a zoetrope slipmat for their new Stir It Up Lux turntable, I knew this was a project where I could combine my passion for music, visual design and craftsmanship.

Founded by Rohan Marley, Bob Marley’s son, House of Marley embodies his father’s values ​​of love for music, respect for nature and sustainability.
The brand is known for its eco-friendly audio products, made from recycled and sustainable materials such as bamboo, aluminium and organic cotton. For this turntable, they deliberately chose a slipmat printed on cork – not only to reduce vibrations and static electricity, but also to reinforce their ecological vision.

My brief was to create a zoetrope animation that visually brings the energy and legacy of Bob Marley to life. I combined images of Marley with tropical elements and the signature green-yellow-red colours that are inextricably linked to his music. In motion, the design forms a fluid animation in which Marley’s posture and expression are recreated in an endless loop.
This exclusive slipmat was added to the Stir It Up Lux turntable and fits within House of Marley’s vision: high-quality audio with respect for the planet.

It was special to work on a project that brings music and image together in a way that fits so well with the turntable and the brand.
